In exercise of the powers conferred under by sub-section (1) of, read with clause (b) of the Explanation to, section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government, on the recommendation of the National Committee, hereby approves the institution specified in column (2) of the Table below and specifies the eligible projects and schemes and the estimated cost thereof as mentioned in columns (3) of the said Table.

This notification shall remain in force for a period of two years in relation to assessment years 1993-94 and 1994-95 in respect of projects mentioned at Serial Numbers 1, 7, 9, 12, 13, 15 and for a period of three years in relation to assessment years 1993-94, 1994-95 and 1995-96 in respect of projects mentioned at Serial Numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11 and 14.
